FUNdamentals in abstract painting with acrylics.

In this 8 week course you will learn the 3 C’s foundation of non-representation art making, how to do basic colour mixing using a colour wheel, and receive guidance to clarify the meaning in your work. We will play and explore mark making principles. Through hands-on painting practice we’ll delve into layering, etching, removal techniques, and how to add depth, texture and intrigue into your artwork. Finally we’ll discover the 3 Wow’s – what makes a great abstract painting and how to know if your painting is finished. You will leave this course inspired to continue your artistic journey, with many ideas and principles to explore and implement.

Please note: Supplies will be required for class and this list will be provided upon registration. Starter bundles will be made available at the local shop Free Spirit.
