Adam’s love of music is as clear in his playing as it is in his teaching. With post secondary training in jazz and classical voice, piano and guitar, and years of experience in bands that took him across Canada, Adam has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share as well as a love of improvisation and spontaneity that extends to his adaptable teaching style.
After moving to Gabriola in 2016, he joined Twilight Radio Theatre as Musical Director and is one half of the band Mad For Joy with his partner in life and music, Jocelyn Hallett. Adam is also a live audio engineer and producer, with an album recently co-produced with Jocelyn for Stz’uminus artist, Patrick Aleck.
Adam has been teaching music privately for years and most recently co-created the Muse program on Gabriola Island with Jocelyn. The Muse program is rooted in contemporary music of the student’s choosing, with an emphasis on performance skills and practical application of music theory and techniques.
